1. DENNIS1 CRONELLY was born in Ireland in 1824. He married BRIDGET, who was born in Ireland in 1825. The Cronelly's were living in Ireland in the 1848 and were recorded in the a survey known as Griffith's Valuation of Ireland. The survey conducted by Griffith was designed and used to to calculate how much money local landowners and tenants should pay in taxes in contribution to the poor. In the beginning of the 1850s, the Cronelly famly left Ireland and immigrated to the United States. The Cronelly's settled in Rockland County, New York. Nyack, a small river town a half-hour from mid-Manhattan and on the edge of the Hudson River was the home to the Cronelly's in the 1860s and 1870s. On November 08, 1870 Bridget Cronelly died and was buried at the Nyack Cemetery in Rockland County, New York.
