Descendants of David Laycock

Laycock  — The Laycock family is from England.  The name Laycock means local, 'of Laycock' (small stream), now a suburb of the town of Keighley, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, one of the five maners into which that town was derived.  A variant of Laycock is Leacock.  Early English records show a Ralph de Laycok and a Roger de Lacok in the thirteenth century.  This surname has predominantly been found in the counties of Wilts and Yorks.
